cd /tmp
wget ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/doom3/linux/doom3-linux-1.3.1.1304.x86.run

or get from moddb.com/games/doom-iii/downloads/doom-3-131-linux-x86

and copy to /tmp folder

Install it, enter:

sudo sh doom3-linux-1.3.1.1304.x86.run
