sudo apt install -y kubuntu-desktop^

Keep your desktop manager as default mdm



If you get errors about local not found enter this code

Code:
sudo locale-gen --purge --no-archive


After you have installed KDE on Linux Mint 17 you may need to open as root on dolphin file manager here is how!
