So for the fix

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list.d/google-chrome.list

and comment out all uncommented out lines with a #


it should look like this...

#deb http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/ stable main



notice a # on every line and save this file and re run your update command.
